Our team continues to go above and beyond. The team members highlighted below have recently been promoted in their fields. We are excited to recognize them for all of their hard work and dedication to the Cordogan Clark Group!







CCA Group would like to announce Kelly Schomer, RA has been named Associate Vice President. Kelly has provided extraordinary architectural services for our clients over her 18- year career. She has worked on a range of projects including higher education, healthcare, and park and recreation, and dedicates herself to meet the needs and goals of our client?s objectives. Her strong ability to follow projects from conceptual through construction provides clients with a seamless service.

Kelly earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Iowa State University. She is chair of the Village of Oswego?s Historic Preservation Commission and sits on the City of Aurora Fire Kelly Schomer, RA Code Board of Appeals.



Since joining the firm 10 years ago, Alex Lopez, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP has become an essential member of our team and has been promoted to Associate Vice President. With over 20 years of experience, he has provided exceptional design and client management skills for the development of a multitude of educational projects. His passion, talent, and commitment have made him one of Cordogan Clark?s design leaders. Alex?s extensive experience in Higher Education, High School, Elementary, and Auditorium Theater design continues to keep the Cordogan Clark Group at the forefront of education design. He most recently led the design and development of the awardwinning Hinsdale Middle School in Hinsdale, Illinois.

Alex is very involved in the community. He serves on the Board of Directors of AIA Northeast Illinois, Board of Directors of Invest Aurora, Commissioner of the City of Elgin Planning & Zoning Board, and is serving a four-year term as a Trustee in Elgin Township as an elected official.

Alex and his wife Carli are proud parents of daughter Abigail, a junior at Illinois State University; and son Elijah, a sophomore at Northwestern University. Alex is an avid SCUBA diver and cross-country motorcycle enthusiast.



Rich Blair, RA has been named Associate Vice President. Rich joined Cordogan Clark and Associates just over three years ago bringing 15 years of previous architectural design and project management experience to the firm. His involvement and proficiency in construction administration have provided CCA?s clients with projects completed on time and within budget. Since joining the firm Rich has managed multiple K-12 education projects from design through construction including multiple simultaneous school renovations for the East Aurora School district this past year along with the design, development, and historic preservation of the East Aurora School District Administrative Center.

Rich received his Bachelor?s of Science degree and his Master?s of Architecture at Judson University. Rich and his wife Leanne have been married for 18 years. They have a son (Josh) and a daughter (Hailey). When not at work, Rich enjoys working on his 1988 Pontiac Fiero and he always has a construction project in the works at his house.



Tim Weber, AIA, has been named Associate Vice President. Tim has over 20 years of experience in architectural and building enclosure design, including more than 15 years with the Cordogan Clark Group, focusing on municipal, detention, higher education, and rehabilitation projects. His dedicated efforts were instrumental in refining management and cost estimation processes across the company.

Tim earned his bachelor?s degree in Architecture with an emphasis in Urban Planning at UW-Milwaukee and his master?s degree in Architecture at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Chicago Building Enclosure Council.

Tim is married to his wife Jenny, and they have a daughter and son. When not working, he enjoys live music and attending sporting events.



Julie Villa, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C, has been named Associate. With nearly 20 years of experience in commercial, institutional, and residential design, Julie joined Ittner in 2017 to refocus her efforts on educational design. Since then, her skills in planning, programming, client management, and marketing have become assets to the firm.

Julie earned her bachelor's degree in Art History and English at Saint Louis University, and a dual master's in Architecture and Urban Design with an emphasis in Environmental Issues at Washington University in St. Louis. She is passionate about sustainable design and is very involved in the USGBC - Missouri Gateway Chapter. She has served as chair of the Higher Education and Emerging Professionals committee since 2018 and had previously served on the Education Committee and as a LEED Community Project volunteer.

In her spare time, Julie enjoys gardening, running, and cooking vegetarian food. She lives with her partner Scott and their 6- year-old son Milo. Their favorite family activities include camping, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors together.



Damir Zubovic, AIA, has been named Associate. Damir joined Ittner Architects in 2018, bringing over 30 years of experience in a wide variety of architectural projects. He is passionate about the development and implementation of innovative technologies in everyday architectural work. He excels at sharing his knowledge and has pioneered the use of several new technologies in the Ittner office.

Damir is a graduate of the University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Architecture. He brings a well-rounded perspective to the firm, having previously practiced in Sarajevo, California, and Iowa. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects.

Damir is married to his wife Dusica. They enjoy family time with their daughter and grandson, travel, and good music.
