As managing Architect, Craig has played a prominent role in the design, development and production of many significant projects at Cordogan, Clark & Associates since joining the firm in 2002. He was Project Manager for the Aurora Police Headquarters and Branch Court Facility, a 200,000 square foot, LEED-Gold certified, public safety campus, was. In addition to its LEED Gold status the Police headquarters has received several other design and construction awards since its completion in December 2009. Other award-winning projects managed by Craig include national award winning projects for West Aurora School District; Greenman Elementary and Herget Middle School.
Craig’s primary focus has been on K-12 educational facilities. He is currently working with several School Districts including East Aurora, Byron, and Clinton as well as private education client Marmion Academy in Aurora. His 20 years of experience, a majority of which has been with K-12 education clients, provides a breadth of expertise that enables him to create effective and inspiring learning environments.
He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Minnesota, in 1991. He takes pride that at the University of Minnesota, in addition to studying architecture, he played football as defensive back with the Minnesota Golden Gophers. As well as the invaluable experience of being part of a team and learning the value of working together it has also proven valuable in projects such as stadiums and stadium reconstruction. He is a registered architect, licensed in Wisconsin. He served on the Illinois Association of School Boards 2010 Jury panel and he is also a member of the Aurora Permanent Building and Fire Code Committee.
